Delta Electronics has introduced the S36SE, a 1"x1" sized power module, featuring an industry first ultra wide 4:1 input in this form factor.

 

 

Taipei, Taiwan, March 06, 2006 -- Delta Electronics, Inc., a world leader in power systems technologies and manufacturing, has introduced the S36SE, a 1"x1" sized power module, featuring an industry first ultra wide 4:1 input in this form factor, into their Delphi Series of Board Mounted DC/DC Power Converters. The S36SE power module is a pin-to-pin replacement for the industry-standard 1"x2" products, but in a much smaller footprint (1.1"x0.96"x0.33") and provides up to 17W of output power or up to 5A of output current. (3.3V and below)

 

The S36SE converter operates from an ultra wide input voltage range of 18V to 75V (4:1) and is available in output voltages from 3.3V (5A) to 15V (1A). Typical efficiency of a 3.3V module at full load (5A) is greater than 87%. With optimized component placement and creative design topologies from Delta's World Wide Engineering teams, the Delphi S36SE converter delivers not only outstanding electrical and thermal performance, but has industry leading efficiencies which translate into more board space at less cost for our customer's space constrained and cost-sensitive applications.

 

The Delphi S36SE converter comes complete with a host of industry-standard features to insure that this unit will reliably perform in the harshest environments and all modules are fully protected against abnormal input/output voltage, current, and temperature conditions. These units also carry a full set of international safety approvals and features 2250V input-to-output isolation.
