Chungli, Taiwan, January 1, 2005 -- Delta Electronics, Inc., has introduced the latest addition to their Delphi Series of Board Mounted DC/DC Power Converters, the L36SA converter.

The 2" x 1.6" size L36SA, 4:1 wide input range, single output, isolated DC/DC converter, delivers up to 20A (1.8V and below) of output current or 50W in an industry standard footprint and pinout. With optimized component placement, creative design topology and patented technologies from Delta's World Wide Engineering Teams, the L36SA converter delivers not only outstanding electrical and thermal performance, but has industry leading efficiencies which translate into more board space at less cost for our customer's space constrained and cost-sensitive applications.

The L36SA converter operates from an input voltage of 18V to 75V and is available in output voltages from 1.2V to 15V. Typical efficiency for this module at 3.3V/15A output is better than 87%.

The Delphi L36SA converter comes complete with a host of industry-standard features to insure that this unit will reliably perform in the harshest environments and all modules are fully protected against abnormal input/output voltage, current, and temperature conditions. Delta's Delphi Series converters meet all safety requirements with basic insulation. An optional heatsink is available for extended operation.

Sample quantities of selected outputs of Delphi L36SA converters are available. In OEM quantities of 1000 pieces, the unit price is US$37. Standard lead-time for this product is from stock to 8 weeks, depending on the output and volume.
