Chungli, Taiwan, April 25, 2005 -- Delta Electronics, Inc., a world leader in power system technologies and manufacturing, has introduced the IPM24S, a non-isolated, fully integrated, extremely cost effective and very convenient to use Point-of-Load (POL) power module into their Delphi Series of Board Mounted DC/DC power converters.

The Delphi Series IPM24S family of product provides up to 3A or 20W of output current/power in an industry standard, compact, IC-like, molded package with a very attractive price.

The IPM24S units are highly integrated POL's that need no external components to provide its point-of-load function. These units operate from an 8V~36V source and provide a wide range of output voltages in 3 separate series: the 1.2V~2.5V (0A0) model, the 3.3V~6.5V (0B0) model, and the 8V~15V (0C0) model. The IPM24S are available in either a SMD or SIP package. A copper pad on the back of the module, in close contact with the internal heat dissipation components, provides excellent thermal performance, as well as extremely high reliability under highly stressful operating conditions. The assembly process of the modules is fully automated with no manual assembly involved.

The IC-like IPM24S units offer high efficiency of up to 91% at full load. With optimized component placement and creative design from Delta's world wide Engineering Teams, the Delphi Series IPM24S converters deliver not only outstanding electrical and thermal performance, but have industry leading efficiencies which translate into more board space at less cost for our customer's space constrained and cost-sensitive applications.
