Chungli, Taiwan, August 18, 2004 -- Delta Electronics, Inc., a world leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, has introduced the latest addition to their Delphi Series of Board Mounted DC/DC Power Converters...the S24SA, a 24 volt input, 2"x1" converter.

The S24SA, 24V input, single output, isolated DC/DC converter, delivers up to 33 watts of power or 12A of output current (for output voltages of 1.8V and below) in an industry standard footprint and pinout. With optimized component placement, creative design topologies and patented technologies from Delta's world wide Engineering Teams, the S24SA converter delivers not only outstanding electrical and thermal performance, but has industry leading efficiencies which translate into more board space at less cost for our customer's space constrained and cost-sensitive applications.

The S24SA converter operates from an input voltage range of 18V to 36V and is available in output voltage combinations of 5.0V/6.6A, 3.3V/10A, 2.5V/10A, 1.8V/12A, 1.5V/12A and 1.2V/12A. Typical efficiency of 3.3V module at full load is greater than 90%.

The Delphi Series S24SA converter comes complete with a host of industry-standard features to insure that the units will reliability perform in the harshest environments. Basic features include low profile, low output ripple and noise, standard footprint, industry-standard pin-out, and are available in both surface-mount and through-hole packaging. The unit is fully protected against all abnormal conditions and can withstand 2250V input/output isolation.

Sample quantities of Delta's Delphi Series S24SA converters are now available. In OEM quantities of 1000 pieces, the unit price is US$21. Standard lead-time for this product is from stock to 8 weeks, depending on the volume.
